Branch County is home to several Michigan lakes, including the 288 acre Morrison Lake. This very popular lake, located just north of Coldwater, boasts depths of 50 plus feet.
Morrison Lake is part of a chain of 7 Michigan lakes totaling over 1074 acres of water. This chain of lakes is known as the Randall-Morrison Chain.
Fishermen tell of excellent fishing. Most noticeable are largemouth bass, small mouth bass and northern pike. The chain of lakes lake is home to several fishing tournaments each year.
There is no known public access to Morrison Lake. There is, however, public access to adjoining Craig Lake, a 122 acre lake just off Stevens Shores Dr. There is limited parking and vault style toilets. Ramp is hard-surfaced, but launching larger boats may be a bit difficult.
Everything you need is available in beautiful Coldwater; Wal-Mart, Meijer’s and all the fast food places. Your plans should include visiting the local summer theater for a nice evening out.
A recent search of properties available on Morrison Lake showed a vacant lot for $129,900
