Guernsey Lake

Guernsey Lake is located in Hope Township in central Barry County. This Michigan lake boasts of 218 acres with a reported depth of up to 28 feet. The lake is largely developed with a mix of year round and seasonal homes.

Guernsey Lake is a private lake with no known public access. The lake is divided into two distinctive bodies of water, the eastern portion of the lake being larger and deeper. Both bodies of water are connected by a narrow, shallow channel. The park type area along the canal is not a park, but actually is owned and used by the adjacent trailer park/resort.

You might think there is only one Guernsey Lake in Michigan, but there is another. A smaller, but deeper, lake just outside of Kalkaska in Kalkaska County is also named Guernsey Lake.
