That a vacation is only a few hours away...
The commercials highlighting our state sure do a great job! If I did not live here, I would certainly want to!

Hey, Lucy, thanks for dropping in to say hi. And thanks for letting me photograph you and Charlie. You two look great in the photo! Gotta say, you picked a perfect evening for dinner on the patio.

Linda, I appreciate your love of exploration. The Upper Peninsula has so much to offer for an inquisitive, outdoorsy mind. And yeah, the cooler temperature...ever notice how just crossing the Bridge seems to subtract five degrees from the thermometer?

I have been following your blog for awhile, but today I just had to comment. I live in Ohio, but come to the Upper Peninsula every year in late August or early September. I count the days all year long until it is time for the annual trip. I truly love everything about the UP! My husband goes fishing every day, leaving me and the dog to explore the area. Don't get me wrong, we have gorgeous scenery in Ohio, too, but I live in a rural farming area and it just doesn't compare. Also love leaving the heat for the cooler temperature.
