Cass Lake is located in Oakland County, a Michigan lake of 1280 acres, with reported depths of up to 105 feet. Cass Lake is also home to a Michigan State Park known as Dodge# 4. The land (139 acreas) with over a mile of lakefrontage was donated to the State of Michigan from the Dodge Brothers Corporation in 1922, ten years after the postcard was sent.
