I just happened across your post when doing a search for the Park! As an employee of Charlton Park, I would be happy to fill you in on any history that you are interested in. The cabin was moved from a local farm and was a cabin for some of Barry County's earliest settlers. It was rebuilt on the property in the 1990's and currently we are still determining how to interpret it to visitors. Most of the buildings on the property were moved here from around the county after 1968, after Mr. Charlton passed away. If you have not visited our website in awhile, it is brand new with a lot more history on the village and buildings, although we do not have the cabin on there (we need to correct that). The address in www.charltonpark.org.
