I just came home to the northern lower from a trip to Drummond Island. On the way home, not too far from De Tour, we stopped at a beach and saw pitcher plants--my first time "in person", not via photography. How excited I am! I had always thought that the pitcher was the flower, not the leaf!

Also, I want to commend you, Bob, on your great writing. I sincerely enjoyed it and I give you praise because I am a writer myself--and realize what it takes to pull off something so descriptive and lyrical--not to mention informative.
Thanks for this piece and your photos as well!
