The Robins are Back!

I know that spring has arrived. Not because the calendar tells me so, but only after hearing and seeing some of Michigan’s birds.
The Robin is Michigan’s state bird. I am not sure what it means to be a “State Bird”. I find myself wondering how many governmental committees were formed, consultants hired, and how many tax payer dollars were spent to make that determination.
They should have just asked me- I would have done it for half.
